The Kobo is sometimes refered to as a Eda Koppo. It is a Kakushi Buki (hidden weapon). Used by many Jujutsu schools as a weapon in its own right with its own kata or as an aid to supplement techniques. Works great when used with Omote Gyaku and Ura Gyaku.
