Compiled by Fujibayashi Yasutake in 1676, to preserve the knowledge that had been developed during the near-constant military conflict from the sengoku Jidai Period until the early days of the Tokugawa shogunate.

The Bansenshukai is regarded as the most important collection of Ninja information. It stands side by side with the shoninki and the Ninpiden.

This is reproduction of the Ohara version of the Bansenshukai (The Sasayama is the  version given to the Shogun by the Iga Ninja), comprised of 10 separate volumes, all traditonally hand bound in the watoji style of Japanese book binding.
